Defqon.1 Weekend Festival 2022
After the pandemic break, Defqon.1 returned to Biddinghuizen from 23 to 26 June 2022. D-Block & S-te-Fan, Headhunterz and Radical Redemption led the hardstyle community's reunion.

Getting there
- By carBy car via the N306 and Spijkweg
The grounds are reached via roads including the Harderbosweg (N306), Spijkweg, Bremerbergweg and Oldebroekerweg, which the municipality of Dronten advises non-visitors to avoid on arrival and departure days. During the festival evenings part of the Spijkweg is closed to regular traffic (exceptions include emergency services, coaches, taxis and Kiss & Ride). On site, follow the yellow 'Parking' signs; day and weekend visitors use separate car parks.

The festival's own campsite directly next to the grounds, for Weekend Ticket holders. It is divided into numbered campsites; which one you can reach depends on your transport option, and campsite 0 is reserved for the pre-booked accommodation areas The Highlands and The Sanctuary. Sleeping in cars or camping outside the Defqon.1 camping grounds is not allowed.

Is Defqon.1 a camping festival?
Largely, yes. Most visitors come for the whole weekend and stay on the festival campsite next to the grounds: for the 2025 edition the municipality of Dronten expected around 70,000 visitors, about 58,000 of them on the campsite. The campsite opens on the Thursday and closes on the Monday; camping is tied to the Weekend Ticket, and the organiser's shuttle and Park + Ride options are aimed at these weekend visitors.
